Profile slow-flyer for extreme aerobatics

The Pitts S 1 aerobatic biplane has always been popular, and we can now offer this attractive machine in a form aimed at the experienced indoor pilot. With this model the emphasis is clearly on maximum flying fun combined with minimum constructional effort.
Fitted with a suitable power system, the Pitts is capable of every imaginable aerobatic manoeuvre within an incredibly small space. Four ailerons and amply dimensioned tail control surfaces with generous travels ensure a very direct response to control commands. This ultra-light indoor flyer excels in particular in the current craze of "prop-hanging" followed by a powerful vertical climb.

The design of the Pitts as a profile model keeps the weight and building effort to an absolute minimum. The model´s components are pre-cut from printed Depron, and are very quick to assemble. The parts plug together and feature additional locating lugs which virtually preclude building errors.
The airframe has to absorb considerable torsional and bending forces in flight, and the horizontal fuselage member, the balsa triangular fillets and the wing rigging add extra stiffness to cope with these loads. The kit is supplied with a range of motor bulkheads, allowing the installation of geared motors and direct-drive motors; this enables the builder to install exactly the amount of power he requires.
